In my career, I’ve learned that building great things takes time. We often feel demotivated when faced with a complex problem, thinking we can’t overcome it.
However, over the years, I’ve solved problems I never imagined I could. Initially, a problem may seem like a mountain to conquer, but I’ve realized it’s not about the problem itself—it’s about the discipline.
It’s about improving one thing at a time, just by 1 percent.
We’ve all heard of the compounding effect, and we can apply the same principle to our work. By striving to improve by just one percent each day, we can make a significant difference over time.
Consistency is key.
Thinking long-term is essential for success. Often, we become so focused on short-term thinking that we lose sight of our ultimate goals.
To achieve those long-term objectives, we must maintain our focus and tackle small problems daily.
Don’t be discouraged if your goals seem distant. Most of the time, they only feel far away. By concentrating on solving a single problem today that moves us in the right direction, you’ll find yourself closer to your goal sooner than you think.
